Today is a driving/game day. Uruguay vs Portugal. The result? Uruguay 2-1!
These two "bambis" crossed the road right in front of us, looked at us and kept on hopping :)
Grateful for wifi, watching the first part of the game at a park in WA.
And the second part at a restaurant in ID!
We are now at a campground in Coeur D'alene, ID., an island very close to the border with Canada.
Look at the fire hydrant!

Wallowa State Park, OR
Update: so far, no problems with this RV. Hopefully, it stays that way.
Today we woke up to cold weather, we put our pants and sweatshirts on and headed to Wallowa Lake. I'll let the pics speak for themselves. Enjoy!

Now look at this: M and I were super stressed about the ride. No guide this time and K and A wanted to step off of the boat at this floating platform in the middle of the river. Now, you already saw they did. Here's M's reaction to them announcing the move and actually moving around in the boat and attempting their act. I must say that I was feeling the same was as she did :)
Now she can relax :) (and me too!)
Now we can enjoy the view...
That's our adventure of the day. Now some low adrenaline time at downtown Joseph, OR
and finally, some great views from our campground.

So G'd listened to our prayers and the boys kept safe. Here is M celebrating the fact by "doing the Titanic" which ironically, didn't end that well ;)

A driving day
6:30am. Even the birds are still sleeping 😴 (summer break, remember? 😜), but J and I are turning the engine on and starting our 3:30 hours drive OUT of our way to go exchange the RV for one that hopefully works well. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

First stop: gas station. Like in the movies. The old ones ;)
And speaking of old times, we’ve seen a ton of these here in Oregon. They are apparently part of the scenery :)
1:12pm. Just finished cleaning our “new” Rv and moving everything from one vehicle to the other. No words. Hopefully this one works well. Now off to lunch.
We had lunch at a very typical American dinner and it was really good. Our server Lucy, a 50ish year old lady got a great tip for great service 😊
After lunch we walked a bit on Main Street Baker City, OR. Very typical, super cute, instate street.
Now more driving until our next destination: Enterprise, OR where tomorrow we’ll visit Wallowa Lake. But first, our mandatory stop at Walmart for some dinner supplies (and fun!)
Did I say dinner?

What does destiny have for us today?
Our day today starts with a sewage leakage repair. Actually, an RV exchange because fixing the problem will take two days. The exchange will take place tonight at our next campground. Actually, it will not. It will only happen tomorrow and we need to drive 1.5 hours out of our way (that's 3 hours back and forth, yes, you did the math right) to go pick it up from some place in Idaho because it is not in their policy that they can bring it to us or even meet us half way. Policies... so good sometimes and so effing bad some other... In the meantime, we’ll keep on “leaving our trace” all over the place... ewwwww!!!!
Other than leaving a trace, today we visited Painted Hills, one of the seven wonders of Oregon. These hills are painted by nature: erosion. Amazing.
Why the colors?
This is what a close up of the hills looks like.
Do you see the three colors in the same hill?
Enjoying the view.
And posing for the picture ;)
It's 5 o'clock now and we are at an amazing campground. Green, quiet, shady.
Stay tuned for tomorrow's rv exchange and wish us luck!

Crater Lake and a sewer leakage 😳
Crater Lake, OR -> no words.
The leakage? -> No words either. Just disgusting smell (leaking on the outside of the Rv, not inside) and a shop appointment for tomorrow morning...
The way to our destination today was GREEN! Remember how yesterday it was white?
The lake.
This once was a mountain that had formed of the ashes of a volcano. Every time the volcano would erupt and lava would come out and a mountain would start to form. Think of when you build castles at the beach with soaking wet sand. You let it drip from your fingers and slowly a little mountain starts to form. Got the picture? Now, after many many years, the volcano erupted again so abruptly that it all collapsed, this resulting in the volcano disappearing and instead leaving a huge hole/crater (Crater Lake). The collapsing happened because underneath a volcano there are tons of chambers where the gases of the volcano escape the earth through. Now we have a collapsed volcano and a huge hole. Next, because there's tons of snow in this area, with the years (many of them), the crater got filled with water (snow melting) and now it is a lake.
Once a volcano, then a mountain, then a crater, then a lake. Amazing. The little islands that you see in the water are small inactive volcanoes. The water is crystal clear, the lake is the deepest in the US, one of the 7 deepest in the wold. The views: incredible. Look for the reflection of the sides of the crater in the water.
Look how clear the water is!
This is an inactive volcano.

And finally, the kids today. You are lucky that you can't see the bitching and gowning in the pics :)
"Me first!"
"NO, me first!"
"I don't want to walk anymore!" (But you haven't walked anything yet!)
"I'm hungry!"
"When are we going to the campground?"
"Look! That's so awesome! Actually I like this place!" (Arrrrrg...)
OMG! Did you see that?! K is taller than M!!!!
