The incredible story of today.

Today was a movie type day.
We started our day as always: breakfast and head to our first adventure which was 20 min away from our campground. About 15 min into our journey and almost at destination our RV stopped working. IN THE MIDDLE OF A TWO WAY BRIDGE. Just stopped. Nada. Not even a noise of trying to turn on. IN THE MIDDLE OF A BRIDGE!!!!! I stepped off of the car to make sure that the other motorists saw us on time and deviated from their way (instead of running into us) while J called Cruise America (the RV rental company) to get help. Obviously it took them forever to answer the phone because "they were on other calls helping other callers and would get to us as soon as possible". So they finally answer the phone and say that they'll send help, that we should call the police to let them know so as to help us with traffic. Luckily, this was a not a very popular bridge and the traffic was very light. Well, help took four hours to arrive and still didn't help. Here's the story: we are on the bridge waiting for the police and the tow truck while many awesome people stopped to ask us if we needed help and one amazing set of guys with a tow truck themselves and going in the opposite direction asked if we wanted them to tow us off of the bridge, to which I immediately agreed. While this is happening it's drizzling and cold! So they tow us off of the bridge into a safe place on the side of the road, we thank them and we call Cruise America again to see what's going on. Going on? Nothing! They are still trying to figure it out. Why? Today is Canada day...
So J tries to start the engine and it miraculously does (!) after a zillion times that we tried while on the bridge and nothing happened. Not even the normal gihhhhhh noise that you hear when you want to turn the car on and your battery is dead. Nada. We looked at each other puzzled. J then decided to drive to our destination, a few minutes away from where we were. Incredibly we made it to our destination, Fort Steele Heritage Town (pics attached) and four hours later the tow truck (which we didn't need anymore) showed up. We then were sent to the shop, which was closed when we arrived (obviously, it is Canada day, hello!). We are now at the same campground where we stayed last night, together with abuelito over the phone (our car expert) trying to understand what went wrong , grateful that they had available spots. The car supposedly works and we are headed to the shop tomorrow morning first thing. I also had to rearrange ALL of the upcoming campground reservations moving all of them one day forward (arg!).
What a day.
Did I mention it's been raining on and off since yesterday and it's cold? Like winter cold!

See the line of cars behind us?

At a safe place already. Well, safer...

A couple of pics from our visit at Fort Steele.

And a double bright rainbow to finish our day.
