Our morning started like this.... ahhh....
And we headed to Minuteman Missile National Historic Site.
Minuteman what???
A not longer active nuclear missile launch site. There, where someone would receive an order and literally press the red button. Like in the movies, but this was NO JOKE.
Do you know why this launch site was situated here? Because it was the closest geographical point to the USSR (across the north pole). Yep.
So grateful I never ordered this pizza...

This was a very interesting visit. I overheard a weird/sad/hilarious comment from one of the other visitors, which, if you are an Israeli, you will easily understand: "It's incredible how a 21 year old had the power in his hands to destroy the world" He was referring to the guy who would receive the order to actually launch the missile.
