It was really hard to get up today. We turned the lights off really late last nice since sunset only happened at 9pm (we were waiting for it at Bonneville Salt Flats) and after that we still had to drive to the campground and make dinner. Chef J made AMAZING burgers (bread, meat, bacon, fried eggs and veggies!) armed with a tinny tiny grill, a head light and an impromptu lighting contraption made by K and A.
This morning we headed to Draper, UT, and the first many miles were more and more salt flats. All the white is salt! Miles of “nothingness and salt”. Beautiful.
And the salt turned into water and this amazing spectacle was waiting for us on the side of the road: The Great Salt Lake.
Remember, all what’s white, is salt.
Now we resume our way to a very special lunch place that A is taking us to. Garage Grill. A restaurant where all is car themed and I must say, the food was delicious.
After lunch, we headed to a little river of water in the middle of the city to refresh our feet. Or freeze them actually!
From there to some overpriced eccentric slushies at Swig.
Then, to a car museum which was closed yet we still could enjoy some gems that were parked outside.
Ghostbusters anyone?
